I have to get the group active again forst

  5. UberDog Apr 07, 2016

But you must hold up the "Anti-Spam" flag and fly it proudly as MT has such a strict policy on SPAM! >.<

  6. Sinistra Apr 07, 2016

Yes, This group was made to keep the spamming down for the points based MT because a lot of us cared that members were getting away with spamming to accumulate points to be able to download. Seeing as the points system is gone there is no need for this group. lol

  7. UberDog Apr 07, 2016

If you are reffering to the old point system then you are correct. However there is still the current point system of which you have 34 points.

4Chan... the moment I stepped into the place I felt as though my brain has turned into a radioactive wasteland.
I remember my brains getting fried the moment I've clicked a GIF image of which I should've never seen. *pukes*

Anyway , I presume the mods here are actually a bit... or rather , a lot nicer than anywhere else. Hongfire will bash you up for commenting in the wrong thread or shut down threads without warning , Gamespot is filled with ban-happy mods , VocaloidOtaku... is pretty dry actually and I've seen various other sites with mods that seems to have been trained in the military for five years or something :o

Still , Danbooru is more specific in the tagging. I mean , heck ,they list just about EVERYTHING in the image.
From something major from the origin of the artwork and the artist to something as nit-picky as their hair length to their chest size.

I don't really think it's a bad thing if it helps a user find the image they want but older Danbooru sites are a bit messy as compared to the newer ones - but I daresay I'm impressed by how many responsible taggers there are in Danbooru - though there certainly are a lot of irresponsible posters XD

Ugh... People in this site needs to be more careful in tagging - there are A LOT of mistags concerning the primary tag "Visual Novel" - people seems to keep mixing up Light Novels with Visual Novels and there are like wrongly made tags every turn I go.

I'm bad at reporting tag issues to the thread ( I still can't grasp the structure of the report ) so I'm not sure how to handle this :P

Quote by z827It isn't just a matter of "tags" if it's already in the title :o
    ( Scans for example )

Still , I'm surprised this forum tolerates the act of begging - most Forums would either harshly reprimand the user or kick them out in a matter of seconds :o
    ( Fortunately , I've witnessed this from the safe-seat XD )

I too , would ask if something is from an artbook or material book if it really catches my eye. Though there are definitely 0 responses XD
Somehow I get the feeling that certain posters of scans are spammers as well T_T
Some Scans are uploaded with minimal or no tags and it'll certainly be appreciated if they do post the SOURCE of the image.

We don't want some indignant creator kicking down our front doors just because we posted an image without paying credits to the original source - it wouldn't be nice if the image originates from PIXIV or DeviantArt.

Your assuming everyone here already knows what the title is by looking at it. I can make assumptions and google stuff but newbies won't know adam from eve until they learn the ropes. But some people will be trolls and there's no getting away from them. They are under every rock everywhere and that's their form of entertainment, to be a pain in the butt until they get bored.

I agree on the posters, but I will hold my piece on that since I already had a discussion with some mods on that. I don't want to rock the boat while I'm in it. AP requires a source before you upload, at least as far as I know. I've always used a source when I upload there. That's something that could be useful here. Also as far as tags are concerned, I see tags that I consider irrelevant. Though I'm sure some one out there doesn't agree with me. Kinda Danboorish in the amount and type. I'm actually surprised more artist don't come forward and complain, though I would think this kind of site would be viewed as free advertisement, and ask for their images to be removed.

4chan is infamous for banning requests on non-request boards, or at least bitching about it. I imagine there are other sites like that, that try to keep the forums clear of clutter. Not enough police here I guess and not enough complaints maybe?

Quote by z827 some comments are really bland and some may even ask some pretty ridiculous question. ( Like what Anime is it when the tags already give the answers )

I'm not sure whether this is regarded as spam or simply half-arsed comments....

That can sometimes be caused by, but not always, the date the question was asked and when the tag was placed. Sometimes a person might come in and see the scan, check it out see there are no tags related to the scan and ask a question. Shortly after some one comes along and adds tags to the scan and makes it appear that the one user asked a seemingly redundant question because the answer is there in the tags. It's all in the dates the scan was posted and when the question was asked. If the question was asked some time after the scan was posted then it's a good bet it was deliberate or a lazy commenter. Since there isn't a date when the tag was added (I think) there is really no way to tell for sure.

It's nice now that I don't get tons of spam, but on the flip side there's not really any comments at all on scans. Occasionally I will get some one asking me if a scan was from an art book or if I have any more of a particular character or series. It's too bad that's how it turned out.

  16. z827 Sep 09, 2011

I'm still seeing plenty of monotonous comments in the images...
Well , it's a bit difficult to construct proper comments in scans and walls but some comments are really bland and some may even ask some pretty ridiculous question. ( Like what Anime is it when the tags already give the answers )

Wow man this group is smokin' hot with action. jk jk
I guess SPAM is more fun than Anti-Spam.

Very good point made there Z about Facebook.

    I came. I saw. I feel somewhat disappointed. :(

The General Classification of Facebook :

    I. Likers
    2. Monotonous Commentors
    3. Gamers
    4. People whom add you to their Friend's List for no reason at all
    5. In contrary to 4 , they don't even talk to you

    .. You get the idea.

can't argue with you there, I think they (mods) keep the idiots in check and those that are just here to cause trouble. when opened to facebook you can get all sorts of riff raft. at least they don't get many of those other sites ;)

  20. z827 Jul 20, 2011

Well , I think this site isn't really coming into the category of everchanging but it does seem to "grow on me" for one reason or the other.
I guess the reason is because there are less idiots here compared to anywhere else :o

  21. angelxxuan Banned Member Jul 20, 2011

maybe that's the reason why I lose interest in them so quickly, or gaming in general. the constant staying the same becomes mundane for me and I lose interest quick. it's like that in everything in my life, if it doesn't change I lose interest in it. ADHD ftw? possibly other symbols and labels shortly apply :P this site is always changing :D

WoW... Well , I pretty much avoid anything that have to pay a hefty monthly fee. Buying the game once is one thing but paying it more than once just for a game I purchased is overkill.

Still , MMOs often don't need a strong plotline to be honest ( Or rather , none of them ever do ) - the only thing keeping MMOs alive is the interactive nature of it which you can never get out of other games - the ability to interact with other players.
That's pretty much the piece of string keeping MMOs alive - and the fact that some of them are free MMOs ( Unless you pay for additional material )

I've played several games that requires internet interaction but grew bored of them over time. The formula is always unchanging so it does feel like your playing the same thing regardless of which MMO your trying. Trade , Cash Shop , Cities , Towns , wildernesses , items , level and more recently , riding , swimming and flying. Nothing seems to really change in them.

never fear neopets has gotten cuter ;)

are MMOs like world of warcraft or something along those lines? I know a lot of people that play those games. I have played one game that was a multi-controversial play sort of thing and it was a vampire online game that I was sucked into so I suppose it's possible that others can be addicting, it's possibly based entirely on interest. WoW doesn't interest me none. I have noticed some online games to be weak in plot and I wonder how they have stayed on the net so long :/ but I suppose people are into senseless garbage, for lack of a better word. I like games that have thought, work, detail, not just something thrown together in a basement overnight sort of thing. (sorry to the fans) I mean, I see some of the visual novels uploaded around here and I'm like wow (of course I'm afraid to play them based on the other "scenes" I see the women in, or men. yes I'm not sort of visual novel player) guess a few bad ones will cause skittish towards them in the future?

and it's official we have taken over the group ! where's the others to join in on the festivities? appears when you don't got much to report anymore and don't want the group to die...

  24. z827 Jul 19, 2011

Neopets.... I haven't touched that since ancient times...
Or rather , a decade ago or so.

MMOs - surprisingly , is filled with little glitches. Well , unless your counting shooters but MMORPGs are generally free of data issues.
Though the general issue of MMOs is the repetiveness of it's content and how unoriginal they are these days.

There's like absolutely nothing new and fresh coming out of MMOs these days - their getting worse than those money-grubbing game developers whom make games for the PS3.
